The New York Genealogical 8c Biographical Society, has a 60 page typed index to the 1901 edition, by Lincoln C. Cocheu. A note from Milton Rubincam, Book Review Editor, National Genealogical Society Quarterly, "I have read with interest Mr. J. S. W. Gibson's rebuttal to Mr. Walter Lee Sheppard's critical review of Wills and Where to Find Them, and Mr. Sheppard's reply thereto, (PGM, XXIX, (1975), 152-155). Permit me to correct one statement by Mr. Sheppard. His long review of the Gibson book was not published in the National Genealogical Society Quarterly because I had already written a review, which appeared December 1974, page 298. It is true that the Society has a policy of not reviewing books unless they are donated to its library, however in this case, the book was received and reviewed before Mr. Sheppard's paper reached us. I though of comparing the Gibson book with Mr. Camp's earlier work, Wills and Their Whereabouts, but, as they both fill a need and are highly useful, I contented myself with a factual description of the contents of Wills and Where to Find Them. It is unfortunate that Mr. Gibson's title so closely resembles Mr. Camp's, but I am glad it will be changed in any future edition." 247
