MARYLAND REFERENCES IN BERKS COUNTY RECORDS The following abstracted references relating to Maryland form part of the genealogical collection of the late Mrs. Charles Mays (Mary 0.) Steinmetz of Reading, Pa., formerly a Life Member of the Genealogical Society, and are now in the Society's collections. Taken from Berks County deed and miscellaneous books, the references indicate both family relationships and the migration of certain families. Similar records referring to other states were similarly collected by Mrs. Steinmetz, and will be published from time to time. The Maryland references, presented hereinafter, are an excellent guide to genealogical information, but the researcher is advised to consult the original records in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds, Berks County Court House, Reading, Pa.
