In Appreciation Helen Hutchison Woodroofe T T IS WITH deep regret that the Board of Directors of the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania has accepted the resigna¬ tion of Helen Hutchison Woodroofe as editor of the Pennsylvania Genealogical Magazine. Mrs. Woodroofe served as editor from 1976 through 1982 and from mid-1985 through 1988. Her series, “A Genealogist’s Guide to Pennsylvania Records,” continues to be a boon to researchers both in the Philadelphia area and afar. Other articles by Mrs. Woodroofe are scattered throughout numerous issues of the Society’s journal. She continues to serve as a director on the board of the Society and will contribute from time to time to the magazine. Mrs. Woodroofe’s expertise as editor has served the Society well, and the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania extends its heartfelt gratitude to Helen Hutchison Woodroofe for a job well done. Aubrey Haines Baldwin, III A UBREY Haines Baldwin, III, a Life Member of the Genealogi¬ cal Society of Pennsylvania, has held many positions in the Society, among them chairman of the Publications Committee, chairman of the Collections Preservation Committee, and as a director on the board. Mr. Baldwin has always given generously of his time and to meet the many needs of the Society. He has compiled numerous volumes of genealogical records, particularly on the Baldwin family, all of which are located in the Society’s library. After many years of devoted service to the Society, Mr. Baldwin now wishes to dedicate his time to completing his research on the Baldwin family. On the completion of his term on the Board of Directors, the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania expresses its deep appreciation to Aubrey H. Baldwin, III. 45
