Wyl ■ Mr. Rubincam calls attention to an error in his article, "Researching European Origins of Pennsylvania German Families," in the Number 4 issue of Volume XXV of this Mag.:inc. In his typescript he had inadvertently written "Charles VI," when he meant "Charles VII," and neither he nor the Editor caught the slip when reading proof. It was printed on page 228 as "Charles VI." The latter was the last male Habsburg to rule over the Holy Roman Empire, reigning from 1711 to 1740. It was Charles VII who was a Wittelsbach of Bavaria and ruled for only three years, 1742-1745. In footnote 4, page 229, the German text referring to the godparents of Sophia Agnes von Boyneburg gennant Hohenstein, a portion of the quotation was inadvertently omitted. Line 8 of the footnote should read: "Frau Grossmiitter von Flochlithlichen Water und Frau Mutter Link ... ouch der Hochwohlgeborenen Hochloblichen von Bodenhausen als Hochloblichen Grossvater," continuing with line 9 as given in the text of the footnote. On page 286 of the Number 4 issue of this Magazine, the name of Miss Elsie Walker Butterworth was inadvertently omitted from the list of Life Members of the Society. On page 287 the name of Miss Rosalie Fellows Bailey was omitted from the list of Annual Members of the Society.
